Cumbria Fells and Dales is a Local Action Group delivering RDPE to an area of rural Cumbria

The Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) is a package of funds aimed at stimulating rural development. It is jointly funded by the Government and the EU through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. The Regional Development Agencies have been charged with managing the delivery of the RDPE and the Programme will run from 2009 until 2013.

Beneficiaries

  • Farmers, farming families and foresters

  • Local farming organisations such as cooperative groups

  • Other eligible businesses operating in Rural Areas

  • Locally based voluntary organisations and community groups

  • Local partnerships such as market town partnerships, community planning groups or similar.
